1 turnover, 0 points and 4 fouls from our starting PG

Bohanon needs to be starting over Williams. He's been all sorts of erratic but a vote of confidence from Fran would be huge for him. JB is that 3rd scorer we need and Williams is bringing absolutely nothing to the table.

Wow. Trashing a point guard with less than a half a dozen games and a soph. getting his first major minutes. I guess your crystal ball is better than mine.

JB's shooting is better served with the starting unit and in my opinion he's the better playmaker. CW could come in against tired legs and second units and have better success taking people off the dribble. Either way we're looking at a pretty extensive learning curve at the point but JB's potential impact as a starter exceeds CW.

I'll admit I was wrong. I even thought he might be the 2nd or 3rd leading scorer. I just thought be would be more aggressive and honestly thought his game might be similar to Marble as a taller PG but he's far from there.

Yep I thought he was the best bet for 2nd leading scorer because he and Cook were the only guaranteed starters. I figured he would get more minutes than Cook so I went with him. Cook is a better scorer than I thought (although his defense is horrible and he's a turnover machine right now) so even if Williams did what I thought he would, Cook would probably still score more. Like you said tho, he just isn't aggressive. Maybe later in the year he will be, or maybe he's a year away. He might not ever get there. Who knows at this point. His game does remind me of Marble as a freshman tho.

I'm wondering if Bohannon will take over the starting spot at some point this year too. He's making more mistakes than Williams right now, but he's making more plays too.

What's Bohannon shooting so far this year? 25%?

Here's another one of the "June Geniuses" that trashed Hawk56 and I for pointing out what should have been obvious. No crow supper for Doc, he'd rather double down on the stupid.

Why are we talking about point guard problems in the offense when it's giving up points in the paint that is killing us?

Told ya but you guys refused to listen to me
I have to admit that you appear to be right. I thought this would be a good couple of game to see how good Williams would be. Hopefully, he will improve, but he is a redshirt so he has been around for awhile. Bohannon did hit three three pointers in the two games, so maybe he is starting to get comfortable. Its early and Williams might have a great season yet. It was nice to see the freshman from Missouri actually rebounding in the last game.

Williams isn't a redshirt. Last year was his first year. Better point guard play is at least 2nd on the list of things we need, followed way behind better interior defense. Help defense from the bigs has been non existent.

My mistake.

It's painfully obvious already Bohannon is not a Big Ten starting PG. He lacks athleticism and is going to get abused on defense in conference season. It was a huge reach when we offered him, I'm not sure how people didn't see that. Williams is just in a bad spot, he's not a PG and never will be but we have no other options

The thing is I think our defense can get better, especially with Cook but our PG play probably won't.

I didn't see the game yesterday, probably the only game I will miss all year. I wouldn't be surprised if Bohannon starts our next game. I wouldn't be a fan of it, but for some reason Fran seems to prefer him over Williams. Neither guy has produced but to me Bohannon gives us no defense and very little offense.

Maybe he is making a point to Williams that if he isn't going to be aggressive, he's going to sit?
