Classy young women vs a bunch of cougars

Looks like Jan letting some of the youth get some early minutes. You can almost see them getting more settled and mature by the minute.

That Cougar from France is pretty good.

i found my self watching quite a bit as I did the other night. noticed that attendance has flagged. Wondering if it will pick up after football season / second semester if they keep winning.

struck by the amount of PT the freshmen are getting.

team seems like they're loose and having fun this year

Some of it is football. Some is non conference.
Some tailoff js expected.

This team is better top to bottom. As good as Olson is, the top of this team just isn't quite as high..cause Clark.

Still fun to watch. So, I'll keep watching.

Re your last sentence: Caitlin was the leader of last year's team and set the tone. He tone was one of expecting perfection, from herself and everyone else. Nothing necessarily wrong with that -- all the great ones seem to have that personality, including Michael Jordan. But when things weren't going her way -- a simple foul -- for example, she would tend to complain, pout, frown, and yes, whine. Her games were fun to watch only when she had a good game, and she obviously had a lot of them. But if she had a bad game personally, it was torture to watch Iowa games because her negative energy permeated the team, sometimes even if they won.
This year's team has a completely different vibe. It's like the pressure is off, everyone is smiling -- even when mistakes are made. I think transfer Olsen is the catalyst for this: she always has a smile on her face, even when a foul is called on her. As PG and the #3 scorer in the nation last year, she's earned a leadership role, & even tho she has the intensity to play defense like a demon, that doesn't seem to carry over to a negative, whining attitude when things go wrong.
That's one of the differences that makes this year's team a joy to watch. And I plan on watching as many games as I can. The blending of experience and youth sometimes makes for the best TEAMS.
(Now if they can just start hitting their FTs! It was painful at times from the FT line today.)
