    39,500 applied for 22,000 tickets

83Hawk's original post was from before the announcement was made yesterday. I think it was reasonable for him/her to assume 49 points wouldn't be enough points given that people needed more than 100 for B1G CCG tickets and there were many more requests for the Rose Bowl.

Rose Bowl Tix: $150 vs. $185

The athletic department said the ticket allotment covers sections 11-18 which ranges from endzone (11) to midfield (18). Maybe the prices just go down as you move down from sections 18 to 11? 11-18 is eight sections and there are eight $5 increments from $150 to $185 so maybe it just goes down...

    39,500 applied for 22,000 tickets

If the article is correct and Stanford was able to obtain 30,000 tickets from the Rose Bowl then I imagine Iowa was able to do the same. However, I am skeptical because the widely published number was a 22,000 allotment. If Iowa did indeed receive 30,000 tickets, then it seems completely...

    get your tickets direct

The plan was to release that info by noon tomorrow and I haven't seen anything to make me think it is going to be pushed back. They said tickets are scheduled to mail out the week of December 21st.

You are correct that there are a few available but they are all $1,825+.

    39,500 applied for 22,000 tickets

Sorry, didn't catch that. I'm with you on the frustration, I know the athletic department is always looking for more ways to bring in revenue but it would be nice to see more priority points for years being a season ticket holder. Also, a multiplier for consecutive years would be a good way to...

    39,500 applied for 22,000 tickets

If you're talking about the third party brokers who are selling the ~48,000 tickets that aren't allotted to either school then I agree. I feel like more tickets should be offered to both fan bases before they are ever opened to third parties for resale. However, earlier you said: I disagree...

    Iowa Ticket Priority Points

Does that assume that everyone above 155 priority points requests their maximum number of tickets allowed?

400 priority points. Some insight please!

From Hawkeyesports.com: "The UI Athletics Ticket Office will limit orders for game tickets to eight for Kinnick Gold & Kinnick Society; six for Champion Hawks; four for Golden & Silver Hawks; and two for remaining I-Club members, and season ticket holders." Priority points and number of season...

This article suggests Ohio St will not be in the Rose because or television ratings

Re: This article suggests Ohio St will not be in the Rose because or television ratin I wish that was true but they have indicated multiple times in the past couple of weeks that the highest ranked team will go to the Rose Bowl. However, there is a chance that the CFP committee will not rank...

This article suggests Ohio St will not be in the Rose because or television ratings

Re: This article suggests Ohio St will not be in the Rose because or television ratin Makes sense to me but doesn't the Rose Bowl get to pick their B1G replacement team before the Peach and Fiesta Bowl teams get assigned? If that's the case, wouldn't the higher ranked B1G team get placed in the...

    ESPN percentage stats

If the OP was talking about the percentages on the match-up page, those are only based on FPI. If he was talking about the fivethirtyeight model, FPI is a factor (along with ELO and CFP). So yeah, all of their metrics are going to underrate Iowa if you think Iowa is better than #26 this week.

    Good news.....

This is old news, Jon has addressed the Rose Bowl selection criteria in depth and did a much better job of it than ESPN. Iowa must stay above OSU following a loss in the B1G CCG to be selected by the Rose Bowl and Iowa would only be able to drop one or two spots at most for this to be the case...

Predictions for Big Ten Championship Game.......

If we extrapolate this out to all common opponents (Purdue, Indiana, Nebraska, and Maryland) Iowa is +52 points and MSU is +45 so we have this game by a touchdown! -- 24-17 Iowa -- But really, I think it will be a three point game going either way. I'll give the edge to MSU now and be...
