I don't read Howe's articles anymore. Haven't for awhile but I would say there is as much excitement in the program as there has been. The wealth of young talent combined with the new staff has this program headed nowhere but up. I think the majority of Hawk fans understand that 7 to 8 wins...

Many national scribes have not only noticed but mentioned what Fran has done. Ryno must have is head buried in the sand. That or he's just being his usual pessimistic self.

30 years of sustained success with 2 different coaches. Iowa isn't an elite job but its a damn good one and will continue to be a good program whether Ferentz or someone else is coaching. This isn't the 70's.

Fran's not leaving, he's restoring Iowa basketball to it's rightful place. Consistent appearances in the NCAA tournament starting with this season. Possible Big Ten Championship team down the road. I think he's that good.

Keenan Davis is a very good player. When you consider what McNutt did last year yet Davis still put up more than solid numbers. Keenan will have a big year.

Michigan state is vastly overrated. They lost Kirk Cousins, they lost their top 3 or 4 receivers and lost Edwin Baker on the offensive side of the ball. Yes their defense is going to be outstanding but they are replacing way to many starters on offense , I think they will fall back to the pack...
