I don't know exactly how it works, but it has to take into account a) recruiting rankings and or b) past years success / prior history/etc otherwise there is no way we would consistently get screwed over by it like that.

From a student perspective, last week, tickets were being exchanged between students at around $75-100 ($40 face for single game) and this week they are going for 20-25 (still 40 face) so I don't think the student section is going to be anywhere near full
