How fun would a start to the season be with wins over a top 25 B12 team and a top 10 Wisconsin. Hawks would be in the top 15, maybe top 10 heading into their bye weekend September 29th.

Wisconsin recruits better than Iowa too. They have the ability to play younger players. Iowa has to develop them. With that said, Ferentz needs to do a better job at recruiting so that his backups can step in and be manageable. I would rather have freshmen RBs and WRs then OTs, though...

I agree that running into 8/9 man fronts was a terrible strategy. Ferentz should have been taking what the defense was giving him. Saying that the freshmen Wirfs and Jackson were just as good run blockers as those two seniors seniors is false.

Oh you're right, there's no difference between freshmen linemen and seniors. My mistake. /s

The freshmen might have been better pass blockers but the seniors were much better run blockers. Those two injuries were the reason why we couldn't run the ball this year.

The Big 10 should try to get into the Las Vegas Bowl when it moves to the new stadium in 2020. This could end up being a big time bowl game and would be a great location for Hawk fans to travel to come bowl season!
