    Food for thought

2009 Iowa was 10-2, and might have been 11-0 pre-bowl had Stanzi not been hurt vs. jNWU. How is it we forget so quickly? 2010 was a disappointment, but we didn't dip to Michigan or Florida or Texas level lows, did we? Why is it so hard to remember the successes? Why is it so hard for...

McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted

Marv fell farther than many Hawk fans could believe. DJK, too. Iowa's best WR's just aren't as good as CFB's best WR's. It really is that simple. Both got what they earned. Here is hoping Marvin earns some more!

    If you are picking 6 -6 . . .

two things I disagree with here: 1. CJF is incredibly talented. The other TE's are either too skinny & inexperienced to block B10 DL & LBers, or too slow & stone-handed to take pressure off our thin WR corp. 2. The back FOUR might be as talented and athletic a unit as we have ever seen, but...

    More on Investigation

Since chad, or cmhawk, is easily the most intellectual & pompous poster on here, I am shocked that he doesn't think before adding a banned sig. After he has repeatedly smeared the rest of us as habitually thoughtless. I predict that your wife is gonna wish you weren't banned.

    Season Tickets

If you have an xtra 2K to spend, then make the $600/seat donation for tickets between the 40's. There are plenty of those that go unsold as season tickets.

    ESPN's Bennet's season analysis

How do you go Morris? He could not even hold down his own Mike position! Bernstine & Binns & Guthrie are the three serious candidates, plus a healthy Diesel.

What happened to the Michigan -40 bet thread?

FYI: that poster was a kid (easily under 25 going solely by the sound of his voice) who called into Sound-off yesterday after the game and admitted that he had predicted a 61-9 Michigan win.

    When Norm Retires....

I have been wondering this weekend if any of our premature attrition at the DE & DL positions is due to the fiery, in-your-face approach of Coach K. I have only wonderments, not any inside scoops from the likes of John Raymon or Donovan Johnson, etc. It may merely be coincidence, but screaming...

MMQB With Jared Clauss: His Thoughts on Iowa-Tenn Tech

Priceless read, Jon. Thank you for enlisting a former Ferentz player to again provide insider and valid analysis. (Cracks me up when posters think they/we might know better.)

    Sweetest Iowa Autograph You Have?

Matt Roth signed the newspaper picture of him doing thenGator chomp in the Outback Bowl after a sack of Leak. Also an Eddie Hinkel autograph on a framed color photo of his diving endzone TD in the big House. The looks on the faces of the scUM fans in the first row are priceless.

Does KMM pass KDavis on depth chart?

    Wheels...fast...Department of Redundancy Dept.

Does KMM pass KDavis on depth chart?

Shumpert does have wheels. He is also fast and tall. But at the spring scrimmage and the kids day scrimmage, he also displayed hands of stone, IMO.

Does KMM pass KDavis on depth chart?

No. Unless Keenan gets injured, the Tin-Man remains #3 all season.

Miller: Open Practice Thoughts & Observations

Alvis did not practice. injured and in shorts and Tshirt. Same with Scherff. Lebron Daniel wore a red jersey, no contact. Kirksey twice got completely buried by pulling olinemen, first time by Reiff. Funny unless you are Kirksey.

    Pitt Coach Todd Graham

It is what it is: a recruiting video on YouTube. Whether Graham will be able to deliver or not at Pitt remains to be seen. (He did deliver at Tulsa, correct?) This much IS true: his public campaign is far more inspiring than "Let's get Mad again."
