Season Tickets

Hi guys, I apologize if this isn't the right place for this question. I've been getting my season tickets for the last 7 years through someone else. I only have 3 priority points from I-Club. I can't get the tickets through my usual connection, so I want to get them in my name. I've been denied 2 years in a row and haven't bought the mini packages. How many priority points do I need? I was considering donating $2,000 to get 20 points, but I don't wanna do that and still be left in the cold. Any thoughts on what it will take?

Good luck unless a lot of people decide not to renew. I have been told there is a waiting list. Your $2000 can buy some good seats at the games by people selling their extras. This year I sold a pair for face value, $100, and a pair for another game for $60. And now the ticket market place can be a good way to get tickets.

Ticket market place is only available to season ticket holders, I thought?

There has to be some amount of money you can donate and be guaranteed tickets. What the magic number is, I have no idea.

Ticket Market place is available to football season ticket holders and contributors to the National I-Club I believe. That isnt as great a route to get tickets as it used to be because it is now operated by StubHub and sellers can charge whatever they want for their tickets. They used to have to sell them at face value.

Demand will not be going down next year for season tickets. Nebraska is on the home schedule plus we have ISU, PSU and Minnesota all at Kinnick.

I would call the ticket office and ask if there is an amount I can donate to get tickets. And ask the exact procedures to follow. I don't do my annual donation until after my annual season ticket purchase, so I don't know the timing you'd have to do to make it happen.

If you have an xtra 2K to spend, then make the $600/seat donation for tickets between the 40's. There are plenty of those that go unsold as season tickets.

If you're willing to spend $2000 for a pair, I would just buy single game tickets.

Put your name on the season ticket waiting list. If you get accepted this year, great. If not, this will give you access to 3 single games. 2 non conference and 1 conference.

Lets just use a random number of $60 per ticket for face value.
That's $180 for 3 games.
4 games remaining.
The numbers I use next to the games are the ABSOLUTE max you will pay per ticket. Most games, you'll pay less than that.

Iowa State - $110
Northern Iowa - $60 3 game mini pack
Central Michigan - $60 3 game mini pack
Minnesota - $80
Penn State - $110
Purdue - $60 3 game mini pack
Nebraska - $180

Your total for the season would be $660. For a pair, just over $1300. Again, that is the absolute maximum. The Minnesota game will be available during single game sales, so you can get in for face value for that game. Really, the only games you'll pay more than $100 a ticket is Nebraska and possibly ISU.

There's no reason to donate thousands of dollars to the University just to get tickets. You can buy off ebay/stubhub/ticket exchange here for well less than $2000 a pair.

I didn't look at it this way but it makes a lot of sense. It just seems like it always comes down to the $$$. I'll go with it unless someone knows for sure what the lowest number of priority points are needed. Thanks!

I dont know for sure I became a season ticket holder the season after the orange bowl win and it was suppose to be real hard that year and I got in with 21 priority points dont know if that helps.
