We did pressure and gave up a 3 pt play. However at the end of the half I wish we would continue to play the same way that helped us build the lead. Push the ball...we slowed it down and ****** away a 20 pt lead.
I was 11 and never underestimate the influence he had on us kids growing up in Iowa City. I'm not going to lie...I teared up more then once today. He was my idol Hawk...and it he me hard. I'm am very happy that his story continues to touch people.
The kid who threw in the stupid pass for the zags....his dad must be embarassed.. I'm guessing his dad is un-athletic and never knew how to play ball and couldn't teach his kid how,to do a simple in bounds pass.
Just watched the game again...benching was worthy....but it almost seemed like a white flag wave by fran. I hope a couple starters lose their starting job( temporary) with how they gave up. Fran is trying to build something...including a mind set to never give up...as we did.
White did get pulled for lack of effort on defense....which he is usually the high energy and effort guy. Michigan got to him today...I'm sure he will correct it.
We had one good effort (horrible shooting) and could have beat the #5 team in the nation. Followed by 15 minutes of good effort. I didn't expect the Hawks to beat Michigan...as I picked them to win it all, but it was a **** poor effort in the second half. Loved Fran benching the starters...
