    Gayle Sayers Almost a Hawkeye?

Sayers is a motivational speaker now, and he came to where I work one afternoon. The story he told was that he was set to go to Iowa. His high school coach changed the offensive approach to mirror what Iowa was doing. Along comes Burns and changes Iowa's offense, and fails to really keep up...

Complete Iowa vs EIU Two Deeps

Perhaps not being listed as a starter is the punishment he faces for his involvement in the Hampton incident this summer. No suspension, but no start either. I am just speculating is all. We don't know if there was anything to his involvement, or if coach felt there was some sort of...

    Interesting thoughts on Division Alignment

So then with this system, with teams paired, you could have a decent schedule no matter what. Basically, looking at the East for this, Iowa would lose OSU and INdy for 2 years, but would have the other 4 which still gives us PSU and Mich on the schedule. Then further breaking that down, you...

    Interesting thoughts on Division Alignment

That is why I clarified it with the (for lack of a better rival). Didn't know how to assign those guys without ripping apart other, more important rivals. Also, the rival needs to be from the opposite division not from the same. Your suggestion is already played out within the division.

    Interesting thoughts on Division Alignment

Just sitting here thinking today, so I decided to put together a couple divisional alignment modules based strictly on Geography to see if I could get it to work out without many problems. I took my data from the past decade only. I find that gives a picture of the state of a program. If you...

If you had to pick another B10 school to root for...

I have been a "closet" Michigan fan since the 80's. I root for them except when they play Iowa, or when it benefits Iowa for them to lose. Always loved Bo, not to mention that when i was younger, they were always on TV, whereas Iowa wasn't.

    Running Back Depth

Don't forget about De'Andre Johnson. He could then be in the mix and that would allow Rogers to stay at FB.

Iowa played 5 FB games on TV the 1st 15 Years of my life

My childhood Saturdays consisted of listening to the Hawks on 1040 and cutting firewood in the timber with my family. This was basically an every weekend thing during the early 80's. Glad we finally got to go to a game once in a while back then.

    Adrian Clayborn Medical Issues?

Actually I remember he had Bell's Palsy or something like that, can't remember exactly what it was. From what I remember hearing, he is not as strong in one arm, or he will occasionally lose feeling or something to that effect. I wonder how good he would be if he didn't have that.
