Grew up in eastern Iowa, currently live and work in St. Paul. Minnesota is a beautiful state with a lot of diversity (in the twin cities, at least). We have excellent beer and a fantastic food scene. Gopher fans are generally a suffering lot, but I have had no terrible experiences with them...

This was absolutely HUGE this year, I don't think it can be overstated how much impact this had on the team's success this season. Most dropped passes I can remember in a very long time, at least since Herb Grigsby was on the team.

Yep, Weber's is the place to be, they do share the bar with the Oklahoma alumni club, but if they aren't playing at the same time, it's the place to be. Usually have raffles and giveaways each game too.

Funny, the Saint Louis I-club gamewatches are held at a bar also called (Weber's) Front Row, and the bar manager is a huge Hawk fan.

Amazing to see all the big plays he's made over the years, although it seems as though a lot of them came in losing efforts (WMU...shudder). He's got to be a leader this year, as I think we can expect another year of progress from Marvin McNutt, and having two dependable, top flight receivers...

I get what you're driving at here, but if we, as fans, really want the Hawks to challenge for the NC, then they need a boost by being in the top ten to start the season. It's much easier for a team ranked preseason #5 to jump up to #1 if they go undefeated as opposed to a team that's ranked #23...
