When we moved to CA, my kids were so bored the first semester here because they were way ahead of the other students. I also know they were ahead of my friends kids in Iowa.

Iowa ranks something like 38th in math and science. ouch.

Aside from a couple of the major population states (Texas, Florida), the deep south lags behind in education.

I can post a few links to reports on this for you.

One of the main reports I can see shows the 5 bottom states consistently as West Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Missouri.

Several more plains states fall into the "Bottom 10" with Michigan being the only true "Northern" state.

Perhaps it was a poor blanket term "South vs. North", but what I'm saying is fairly correct.

I've heard of Lou Malnati's, Home run, Pizzeria UNO's, etc. Generally I like thin 'New York' style pies and find the thick 'Chicago' style too doughy.

Curious if you've had New York style in New York? I ask because my experience on the east coast is that it is under cooked.What we get here in the mid-west that is called New York style, is sufficiently cooked thin crust.

Anyway, Pizza Uno is supposed to be the original Chicago deep dish, and if you're downtown, you can get it delivered. Delivered from the original store.
