I thought for sure he would redshirt since this is only his second or third year of football. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Either way, this is a fantastic get.

just like the majority of trench players. the reax that he is some kind of DL savior is a bit short-sighted.

Now let's see if the staff can actually keep this kid on campus for 4 years. With recent DL attrition, I'll keep expectations low. Really hope it works out because he could be a real beast and well spoken plus he's really needed.

Did you read his blog? Sounds like he would have gone to Oregon if they didnt fill up or NW if his GPA was a little higher.
While I dont disagree that the staff likely worked hard to get him here, and I'm thrilled about it, but it definately sounds like Iowa was his third choice.
