What a hell of a year. I can live with this loss. MSU had an epic clutch drive that we couldn't stop. Nothing fluky or cheap, just great execution. We literally had nothing left to give on D.

We showed we are elite and boys, we'll be better next year.

A lot to be excited for. If Ott and King return, the Defense could be very very good.

Gotta have a WR or 2 emerge. Although he didn't have remarkable stats, I think T. Smith will be tough to replace.

We gave some promise at RB, but Canzeri will be greatly missed as well. Was by far our most complete back when healthy. Hopefully Wadley, Daniels, DMX, and Graham all develop and step up

Oline loses 2 very good interior linemen but a lot of youth and talent plated significant minutes. Will need growth and development but could be very good.

Expectations will be high, and should be. That said, this was a special year will be very hard to duplicate.

And still came half a foot and 27 seconds short. I dang near thought we had it.

But, yes, a hell of a year. One for the ages, no doubt about it.

When they beat Clemson or Alabama, it might really sink in.

It was a helluva season and it isn't over yet.

We all know our D gives up the intermediate plays and dares teams to execute over and over again and that is just what MSU did. 22 plays over 9 minutes, that is unreal. Maybe the best drive I've ever seen.

This team has been fun to watch all year and they showed the country we do play tough football.Disappointed yes but not upset with the effort, they played their hearts out.Hold your heads high and be proud. Were not done yet there's a Bowl game coming up and we know how the last one turned out.Relax, reenergize, get healthy and let's start 2016 with a win.We will follow you where ever we go.

Lets not get carried away. Best drive you've ever seen? They lined up and ran the ball right down our throat. I can think of at least 2 drives that happened in Kinnick one by Wisconsin and one by tOSU that were much more impressive game winning drives. That MSU team is going to get smoked in the playoff. Connor Cook is highly overrated as a qb.

Thumbs up! If King returns, eight of the Hawk's eleven starters on defense will be back. Further, unlike this season, Iowa will have five experience offensive linemen returning. Daniels will step in at center & the line could be as good or better next year.

He's still hurt, and he's got a month to heal up. I think you're going to be surprised.

I still can't shake the disappointment, I may need another day or 2.

This.

I feel a lot like the morning after we lost to UNLV in the elite 8 in '87. I know we didn't blow a huge lead in this one but it still feels like we had it but let it slip away.

I still haven't shaken the disappointment from the loss to Jacksonville back in '70. I'm already over last night. Back in August, the majority of Hawk fans would have been very happy with an eight & four season. Heck, Iowa was picked for fourth in the B1G West by the experts.

If they take Ohio St for the Rose Bowl then I'm hoping for Fiesta Bowl against ND. This would not upset me.

Look on the bright side. You'll never feel worse about a loss than you do about this one.

I'm really not even pi$$3d about the loss as much as by how and to whom.

Right now, even the Rose Bowl will feel like a glorified exhibition game, after what we were playing for. But in a few days I'll gain my perspective back, since I remember some even picked us to go 5-7.

Rough morning. So many what ifs. It'll take me a few days to shake this one (acknowledging greater tragedies have occurred in life). Can we take the next step and be consistently in this position? Hope so.
