What a hell of a year. I can live with this loss. MSU had an epic clutch drive that we couldn't stop. Nothing fluky or cheap, just great execution. We literally had nothing left to give on D.
We showed we are elite and boys, we'll be better next year.
We all know our D gives up the intermediate plays and dares teams to execute over and over again and that is just what MSU did. 22 plays over 9 minutes, that is unreal. Maybe the best drive I've ever seen.
A lot to be excited for. If Ott and King return, the Defense could be very very good.
Gotta have a WR or 2 emerge. Although he didn't have remarkable stats, I think T. Smith will be tough to replace.
We gave some promise at RB, but Canzeri will be greatly missed as well. Was by far our most complete back when healthy. Hopefully Wadley, Daniels, DMX, and Graham all develop and step up
Oline loses 2 very good interior linemen but a lot of youth and talent plated significant minutes. Will need growth and development but could be very good.
Expectations will be high, and should be. That said, this was a special year will be very hard to duplicate.
Lets not get carried away. Best drive you've ever seen? They lined up and ran the ball right down our throat. I can think of at least 2 drives that happened in Kinnick one by Wisconsin and one by tOSU that were much more impressive game winning drives. That MSU team is going to get smoked in the playoff. Connor Cook is highly overrated as a qb.
I still can't shake the disappointment, I may need another day or 2.

This.
I feel a lot like the morning after we lost to UNLV in the elite 8 in '87. I know we didn't blow a huge lead in this one but it still feels like we had it but let it slip away.
If they take Ohio St for the Rose Bowl then I'm hoping for Fiesta Bowl against ND. This would not upset me.
Therein lies the problemWe can be a better team, but our schedules wont let us repeat tgis again, if ever
