Rudock transferring

I have 2 very reliable sources that both have told me that Rudock is going to Michigan. Both are very close to the program and one is a brother of a former player. The former player has actually talked to him apparently and he confirmed it with him.

Not saying its not true but I always have to question why an anonymous person on the interwebs is too scared to name their sources. Like you really can't name a former hawkeye player who supposedly knows for sure?

I was just reading earlier this week and hearing on podcasts that this isn't looking very likely, him transferring is still likely but not to Michigan

I did see this posted on a Michigan board this morning. It was stated as nothing more than a rumor, though.

Good for him, always liked Rudock and think Ferentz made a huge mistake in demoting him because sunshine and his dad were pouting. It will be interesting watching him lead Mich while sunshine struggles with this inept team.

Misleading thread title. If he's not reported to be transferring, probably change the thread title to "Rudock Transfer Rumor" or something like that.

I will say this. If he does transfer, Brian Ferentz better not be sending him on those option reads that Davis did and get the Sex Cannon injured. Zero experience behind Beathard. And with the way the OL is looking I'm already concerned about the QB position staying healthy.

Most of us on here realize titles are a real crap shoot. When I see a title like it, I'm thinking to myself, I'll have to see it to believe it.

uhhhhhh...who gives a rip? Glad he'd hoped to come to IA and try to help but the proof is in the pudding...he is not a good QB. If he leaves we're just one less player on a team that is going nowhere fast. What loss will the team feel w/ his departure? I'm not looking for "class act, smart kid, locker room leader" bs type responses either.

Didn't Michigan just get a qb to transfer in? And didn't they have a couple young qbs with a bunch of stars next to their name when they were recruited? Michigan doesn't seem like a great fit if playing time is what JR is chasing. If he's just wanting to stay in the BIG and likes their medical program maybe that's all he's chasing. I just don't see him starting at Michigan week 1 but maybe we'll see

I don't follow Michigan recruiting and who's on the roster so I defer to people who do. Deace is as informed as anyone and his take on Rudock was that his college tape is better than anyone else's on the roster. He thought Rudock would be a good stop gap for Harbaugh to get his next QB ready. Now I'm assuming that Deace thinks Rudock is better than whoever transferred in. Deace compared it to when Harbaugh first got to San Francisco and used Alex Smith in a similar fashion. People said the same think about Smith....doesn't throw the deep ball....too conservative.

The team struggling last year or this coming year has nothing to do with quarterback play. Either qb could have done well if the gameplan was right and if the coaches had a passion to win.
