White: tOSU students chanted "We didn't want you"

Don't be so quick to judge White, I wonder if I would not have reacted the same way if I was in his shoes (especially at his age). Say you were a basketball player and Iowa was never interested in you and you ended up going to another Big Ten school. Being a life long Hawkeye fan how would you feel if you came to Carver and had the students do this to you? Here you are born and raised in Iowa and then come home and have the students at one of the state institutions chant "we didn't want you". I know the right thing to do is to ignore the hecklers, but that is easier said than done.

Hopefully our student section brings its A-game when Abrahamson and the 'Cats come to town, they better get in his head or else he might go all Shurna on us.

The worst fans are the Illini, though, and it isn't even close (well, other than Michigan State). They were very mean to Alford and Pierce and it was so bad that Alford had to register a complaint with the conference and then the Orange KKKrush got a little chat from the athletic department and finally straightened up a little bit. If Fran cared about his players, he would file a complaint with the conference.

Not sure, pretty sure it was in the early part of the 2nd half. Which means Iowa would have been down by at least 15.

Personally, the "sucks" chant after every opposing player is announced in the starting lineup inside C-HA is tired, unoriginal and stupid, in my opinion.

LOL we will never stop saying that. Everyone in the section looks forward to it so unless someone higher up tells to stop, that one will stay in the arsenal.

Thank you! The game was within 10 when that happened. It definitely wasn't a blowout anymore. I think section is confused.

I do not think there is a single team in the Big Ten that would not take White. He may not be a starter on every team but he would have a role. I am glad everyone else overlooked him, I think Clemmons may also have been overlooked.

Hell, I don't think even White had a problem with it, at least not in the sense that a lot of people here do. I mean, it ****** him off, but that's different than thinking it was way out of line or below the belt.

Wrong. According to this link it happened with 17:47 left in the game. White's 3 point play merely cut their lead to 13 points. It would get as big as 23 points before Iowa made their run. It did nothing but make White look like an idiot.

Its funny cuz he was our leading scorer and probably wouldve put up 20 had the refs blown their whistle in the 1st half. They can chant whatever they want. Loved the staredown. Bet Thad’s shnoz would love to have Aaron at this point.
