Iowa Basketball: Yahoo Sports! puts Woodbury on top freshman to watch list - Des Moines Iowa Hawkeyes | Examiner.com
Heres whole article:
The hype could not be any bigger for incoming freshman basketball recruit Adam Woodbury.
I hope the 7-foot center from Sioux City East is ready. Because Hawkeye Nation and the rest of the basketball world is.
Woodbury was recently placed on a top freshman to watch list by Yahoo Sports! writer Mike Huguenin. Huguenin put Woodbury as No. 6 on a list of eight newcomers headed into the Big Ten this season.
Woodbury is a four-star center that will give Iowa its first true center in about 10 years. The 7-foot, 230-pounder is a four-star prospect and almots a lock to start for however many seasons he spends in Iowa City.
And the more coverage like this he gets, the more pressure gets put on him by the fans, media and anyone in the basketball world.
Huguenin says Woodbury "knows how to score in the low post" and the left-hander can "finish with either hand." He also called Woodbury "the centerpiece of a strong Iowa freshman class."
Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery and his coaching staff did a great job with this recent incoming class. Aside from Woodbury, the Hawkeyes also will welcome four-star point guard Mike Gesell and three-star forward/center Kyle Meyer, who stands 6-foot-10 and gives Iowa another strong post presence.
