A loss to Rutgers this week would really hit the spot.
They probably won't lose to Rutgers but I wouldn't be surprised if Illinois beats them. Illinois played them really tough last year, leading thru 3 quarters.

Deace called this hire a dumpster fire 4 years ago. He was right.

They were just looking for a nice guy.No offense to Deace and his expertise - but most people with even a beat on B1G football called it a dumpster fire hire at the start. It made no sense to hire a 62 year old coach who never won anything of note at his previous job and had absolutely no ties to the area, conference or school.
Yup, the anti-Bo. Besides the daily Scott Frost worship hour more level heads across the Missouri have talked about Dan Mullen as the "name" coach to go after. Another name is Washington's OC. But I don't believe any other than Frost have Midwest connections. Amazing that of all the players to go through the Husker system so many see Scotty as their Harbaugh or Meyer. I would have to think there'd be a slew of former players who've gone into coaching more qualified right now to take the job. They were just looking for a nice guy.
He was 61 at the time. The whole thing smelled bad. As an Iowa fan I find their misery hilarious. No offense to Deace and his expertise - but most people with even a beat on B1G football called it a dumpster fire hire at the start. I would love to see them become the Rutgers of the West, permanently. Fingers crossed. He was 61 at the time. The whole thing smelled bad. As an Iowa fan I find their misery hilarious.
Stoops is another name those idiots keep tossing around.
Like Bob F'ing Stoops is going to leave Oklahoma to come to that tire fire of a program in Lincoln.
This is the kind of delusion we're dealing with folks. They are seriously like those Heaven's Gate wackos waiting for their spaceship to home take them up to God.
Saw a funny comment from a Bug Eater yesterday. The discussion was about kicking Riley to the curb and this guy chimes in with... "I know we have a deep donor base but, Jesus H. Christ, do we have enough money to pay three coaches all at once?"
Hopefully the trend will continue...until...Iowa fans flocking to Lincoln for the Iowa/Husker game will help keep the "sold out" streak alive for them...
Once you get sucked into reading the lunacy you can't stop. It's like an inside look into some strange cult that you know is going to end up on CNN after ritually drinking poisoned Kool Aid because their prophecies never came true. We just hope they don't take their children with them.
One of my coworkers actually said "Eichorst is from Wisconsin, he's probably trying to actually ruin the program." I think some Husker fans seriously need medication.
I'm beginning to think this is true, at least somewhat.
The star system has more to do with having a college-ready body than technical play. Plenty of 4 stars are lacking in good technique and fundamentals, due to the fact they had better size and really didn't need technique in HS. Just look at Nebraska, they get a lot more 4 stars than Iowa does. The learning curve is much less when starting with 4* and 5* players. They come in with the better size and technical play.

Not too much. Why do you think they're that much worse than Nebraska? I actually think Rutgers might beat them too with all of the distractions over there.Have u seen Illinois?
