Not to be a downer, but the whole best memories got me thinking about what my worst memories were (I'm usually not this depressing
). I don't mean this to be a thread to bash wrestlers from the past, but as a sports fan, there are a lot of ups and downs as you all know. Anyways, here are some times that really bummed me out as an Iowa wrestling fan:
Metcalf vs Caldwell (obviously!)
Mena choosing top and losing the national title.
Johnny Thompson pinning Cliff Moore then standing are just admiring 13,000 completely silent hawk fans at Carver. God that sucked.
Having 10 returning all americans coming back in 91 or 92 and missing being the first team having 10AA. Someone correct me, but I think it was like Tom Ryan or someone like that who was a national champ the year before and was the only one to miss being an AA.
