Wisky game thread

That should have been a travel call in Wisconsin on that last rebound giving Iowa 1.5 to 2 seconds on the clock out of bounds.

Also hard to win when the refs don't give you a fair shake against the type of team you are playing. And, on your own homecourt no less.

I don't really want to watch the 2nd half. Half time adjustments usually favor the other team. We cannot possibly continue to shoot at 64% clip. It would be nice for us to step up and win a 2nd half of basketball.

Need to come out strong (holds breath). Prolly gonna a need some luck and bounces go our way as well.

Keep playing hard Hawks!

Wisconsin is just better and Iowa isn't going to get the calls today. Sucks to be playing pretty well (outside of some defense lapses) and still be down at half. Iowa needs to be near perfect in the second half to win this one.

Pretty scary when you are shooting 64% and trail by 6 at half.

It is for sure. But that's exactly what you have to do when playing a top 10 team who is also playing very well(otherwise you get blown out....like last time). Wiscy is shooting pretty damn well too, they made a ton of contested shots. When your playing a team this good, you absolutely have to shoot well.

We likely have to stay hot to have any shot. It's reality.

It stinks that Iowa has to beat terrible refs and the bug eaters at the same time. The refs need to stop letting the bad-gers get away with all of this.

Yep. That's the key. They know they've played well and down six. Are they going to feel sorry for themselves or play harder.

more 50/50 balls would be nice.
Reduce defensive lapses by one player when the other 4 have done their job.
keep going to the block: wisky's weak spot is paint defense.

Wisconsin has no weakness in any part of the game. Iowa played well on offense, no doubt, but the Badgers really executed their offense better and took advantage of mismatches on screen switches, didn't turn the ball over, got lucky bounces off the board, and made 5 threes. The only way Iowa has a chance to win is if Wisconsin can't hit threes in the second half and Hayes gets in foul trouble. They just aren't going to turn over the ball, so Iowa needs to work good plays in the half court the rest of the way. The problem is Wisconsin will just trade buckets basically.

3 shots taken by Utoff. Why do Iowa's best players just not take shots often? Seems to happen to White and him more than it should.
