Wisconsin given the game by the refs

No offense but you're out of your mind. The refs were as bad as I have ever seen but it wasn't skewed in the Badger's favor. The no call on the F1 by Lyles on Gasser? The blocking foul on Frank where he was set? Lyles shifted his pivot foot, essentially taking 6 steps worth of traveling and getting an and-1? Then having the refs call a travel on Gasser at the other end of the floor?
In my opinion, Kentucky was getting the better end of the calls but they were bad on both ends.

This.

dean, you're a hater. That missed flagrant call........omg

Read an article where he said he would have chosen MSU over Iowa if he didn't get a Kentucky offer. Eff that dude. Hope he never gets a championship.

Well both of those schools are better programs than Iowa so how do you fault a kid wanting to go to the better program? How many top knotch wrestlers have gone to Iowa because of the quality program we have including our wrestling head coach? Fran has done a great job of bringing our program back from the grave but now he needs to step it up if we are going to be able to compete with the Wisconsins and MSU's of our conference. Finishing in the bottom part of the conference in recruiting will never cut it.

I hope the Badgers kick Dukes Azz and we have a National title for the B1G.

Got it. So nobody is arguing that the refs got the 3 calls RIGHT that I pointed out......The point of the thread was how awful the officials were and the winner was gonna have to credit the officials. If the officals would have gotten the calls correct that I pointed out, then my thread title would have changed to Kentucky was given the game by the refs.

The officiating was an embarrassment.

I'd be happy to see the BIG with the national championship in football and basketball. After all the bashing from the media it would be nice to see the BIG have the final word.

With all the hate for "connie" during the regular season, Bo & Co. are an excellent team and certainly deserve their shot at the 'Ship....We hate them b/c we want to be like them, and/or have players like them...I hope they kick Duke's a$$ and bring it home....As far as the officials, very inconsistent. and definitely a job that I wouldn't want...the ticky-tack fouls, the flops on both ends, the missed calls, the missed intentional fouls, the no-calls....where does it end? This is what drives us fans crazy as we watch our team(s), and it's what keeps us coming back....I don't believe Wisconsin was given the game, they just wanted it more than Cal & "Blue Nation".....should be an exciting game tomorrow night.....can't wait, as it'll be a very long spring and summer until f'ball gets here...

Needless to say but this 3 man officiating crew should not be working Monday nites championship game. It was an exciting game but even the announcers early in the game were calling out Kentucky's hand checking and bumping. The refs didnt call it early and couldnt call it late. And they really missed a lot of calls they made.

Are you serious or are you trolling? The flagrant on UK that wasn't called AFTER BEING REVIEWED was a complete joke and inexcusable.

If the point of the thread was equally bad officiating, then why didn't you say that? Wisconsin straight up beat Kentucky. Simple as that.

You're wrong this time Deano. Makes me wonder if you lost some money on the game or something because I'm not sure how anyone could see the officiating as that one-sided. There was some bad calls, but they didn't hand it to Wisconsin. That no call on the flagrant was the worst of them all. They reviewed it and still didn't call it. Totally inexcusable, and had they got it right that should have been 2 shots and the ball for Wiscy. Now Wiscy still took care of business, but had they lost that would have been made out to be a bigger deal.

Blame teh refs? Come on, Deano. Hard work always beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

And judging from your posts bince the game, I agree it looks like you lost a bundle. Amirite?

WRong had the refs got it all right Wiscy still wins the game, that is how pathetic the Calls were in KY favor that were missed blatantly.

Deano, I hate Bo "The Vulture" as much as the next Hawk fan, but sconnie versus the one-and-done thugs recruited by Calipari was one time I could easily cheer for the BoneG team. When the brackets were announced, I really hoped both teams won their regions and got to last night's match-up as I felt Bo's disciplined approach to the game, combined with his players, would be the one team able to beat Calipari and his "put five street-ballers on the floor and let them play" approach.

Congrats to Bucky. Amazing team. Refs were awful both ways. Anyone not giving proper credit to Wisconsin is simply jealous.

How can they possibly miss a shot clock violation? Then they give UK an offensive foul on Deckers flop, and then Decker get a phantom foul to top it off. Glad I'm not a UK fan, I'd be livid right now. It is simply embarrising how bad college officiating is.

R U Nuts? Kentucky clearly got the calls late in the game:

1. The phony charge instead of a blocking call wiping out a three.

2. The flagrant one not called for a slap to the face. That cost 2 free throws and Wisconsin the ball.

That is 7 points!

Meh. KY got a # of calls their way as well. Not to mention no flagrant call hitting a guy in the face.

Nantz, Rafferty, Grant Hill and ME agreed that 'head slap' SHOULD have been, at least, a
Flagrant 1.

Refs tried to give game to Kentucky, but it went back to a BIGTEN and Sconny victory.

Common boys, I don't lose bets. I wasn't gonna touch that game/line with a 10' pole. The thread title was gonna be the same no matter what, just swap the UK for Wisconsin if UK pulled it out. I felt with 5 min left that whoever won was gonna have to thank the refs, as they made themselves a key part of the game with the horrible calls. I got no love for the one and done team.

This is the first thread I've seen in a long time where literally no one agrees with the OP lol.

Great game last night, but the officiating sucked - both teams got screwed by the refs at times. Wisconsin wasn't given the game late - it just evened out some of the BS that went against them earlier on.

Wow, I don't ever recall a thread like this. Dean, I'm usually with ya, but man this was a rough one for you. can't win'em all.

Yes, the officiating wasn't great, like almost every game...but it was equal.

Nobody has disagreed with me yet, as far as the 3 horrible calls go. Bad officiating was always going to determine the winner. Wisconsin was just the recipient of the last 3 blown calls. 5 min earlier it would have been UK winning because of officiating, and who the hellz knows who would have been the receipient of blown calls if it went OT.
