If we lose it sets the tone for the rest of the year and we are looking at 7-5 again

idk about you but I’m pumped to freeze my ass off in New York for the toilet bowl again

"We" You've made it clear that you are nothing than a troll here. Still can't figure out why you haven't been banned yet?

I'm thinking the Wisconsin game is going to take on the same kind of aura that OSU and Michigan take among Iowa fans and the team. All out leave it on the field. kind of thing.

At the end of the day, we have to evaluate where each program is and decide if they are important enough to put extra time into. So, yeah...we have to give the tougher teams more effort and right now, that's Connie. At least until another team sheds their skirts and starts acting like they belong in the conference.
Let us know if you can think of any team that might fit that description.

Wisconsin is the two time defending west champ and the prohibitive favorite to make it three. Losing to them in effect is worth two losses because they would now own the head to head tiebraker. (That is precisely what derailed their 2015 season, only we were the benefactors)
We would then have to run the table and hope they lose twice, neither of which seem likely scenarios.

They have owned us in Iowa City recently. It would be nice to reverse that trend.

I doN't ever rEmemBer the Badgers in iowa citY under the lights. That would be cool to see. Late September and all.

Tried to answer the previous poster's skirt question but may have looked stupid in how I did it. Sorry, only trying to have fun with it.

He may be a troll but he is dead on on this one. Chances are Iowa drops at least one other conference game so if they lose to UW they are in essence done, no chance UW loses 3 conference games the rest of the way. At that point the season will basically be us scratching and clawing for an Outback bowl appearance.

It's pretty clear that since the dreaded fake punt Wisky is the rock the Hawks break on. Before then the roles were reversed. That makes the assertion correct as far as it goes. It never means 7-5, it now means division champs. Lose and 9-3 is as likely as 7-5, 8-4 the mean since the fake punt. Did I mention how much I hate the fake punt?

Try living in a family, and community, full of Badgers fans.

We were in the north end zone.
We had a perfect view of the sea parting before him.
You could have piloted the Queen Mary through there.
It was a long ride home.
Oh wait. They stopped at a bar in Kieler on the way home.
It was like they played volleyball the rest of the night.
And I was the volleyball.

Feel your pain Northside Hawk! That's got to be brutal. That play still haunts me also. Knew it was going to happen and can't do anything about it.

We actually have a decent history in Madison under Kirk', including 2005 when Barry coached his last game at Camp Randall and emotion had to be off the charts.

Those were taut low scoring games where we would slug it out until one of their players (usually the quarterback) made the critical mistake. It was one of the instances when Kirkball worked to perfection. It was rinse, repeat in 2009 and 2015. We would make one play combined with their one crucial mistake. It all evened out last year. We looked like a high school team on offense one week after dropping half a hundy on Saint Urban.

It's been a different story in Iowa City like you said. Melvin Gordon and their tight ends have dominated us. The fake punt. The Watt brothers. The last time we gave them a good butt whipping at Kinnick was when we had Shonn Greene.

Some Wisconsin kids in key roles on this team. Hope Nate and Toren have the games of their lives this time around.

We should send the Jeff Gillooly gang to Wisconsin this summer. Crap...I probably shouldn't write this on a message board.

The Gillooly gang basically hit their camp last fall (didn't they lose most of their starting LBs?), and somehow they didn't miss a beat.
