I hogged some gal whose last name was West when I was hammered. Pictures surfaced the following Monday back in the day when you had to take film to get it developed. My shame level was very high. I said to some folks, in front of this gal, she was so big that they named a direction after her. Not my finest moment.

So did you take responsibility for your own actions or did you blame her for assaulting you?

I love the kids ambition and drive to return to Madison, but at the same time I don't get it. The university wants nothing to do with him so why does he want nothing more than to represent them on the field. I know what I'd tell the university in that situation and it has nothing to do with "reinstate me please".

Because he has friends & teammates there. Not hard to understand, IMO.

But I agree, I'd have been long gone by now. And I'd be petitioning the NCAA for immediate eligibility AND retro back the season(s) missed based on what transpired.

I hear you. I guess I see it as he'll make friends anywhere he goes. Friends or no friends I'd have a hard time wanting to be anywhere where those in charge have made it clear that I wasn't wanted.

Agreed. But he doesn't (presumably) play for, or interact with, the elite academia types, he interacts with teammates and coaches. BTW, the coaches are truly in a no-win situation. They risk the wrath of the higher-ups, the elitist-academia folks on one side, and the team on the other side. They really can't win. Tracy Claeys learned that the hard way.
