Not a damn thing wrong with her.
This PC bias crap is BS. I think it would be great if a woman broadcast the game. Beth, however, has the most irritating, nauseating voice in broadcast TV. Plus, she is usually un-informed. If she were to speak with a feminine voice instead that of a penis-less man she would be fine. Instead, she uses a broadcast voice that should not be heard by anyone.Beth is fine. I'm not trying to claim she's great but the criticisms leveled against her are completely biased. I count numerous player mix-ups and mis-pronounced names in EVERY SINGLE Hawkeye broadcast. I've yet to hear a criticism that isn't equally applicable to her male counterparts so I know exactly what the real objection is.
She's no more uninformed than several of her male counterparts. I've heard Eponesa called Espinosa, I've heard Ojemudia pronounced Oh-Jay-Moody, I've heard announcers insist a flag was on the wrong player when they are incorrect, I've heard plays called incorrectly and incorrect recounting of Iowa football history, etc. all by male announcers. This PC bias crap is BS. Yes it is objectionable, maybe not to you, but to many many listeners. And it has nothing to do with her being a woman, despite what you social justice warriors think. She's no more uninformed than several of her male counterparts. As far as her voice, she has a completely normal voice. I'm not going to be convinced that people who say she has an irritating voice don't just have an issue with women talking. She doesn't have a high pitched voice, she's not "shrill", she doesn't do baby talk, doesn't talk like a valley girl, doesn't have a honking Chicaaaaaaago or east coast accent. She doesn't stutter or slur her words. There is literally nothing objectionable about her voice.

This conversation is moot though. I've never met a misogynist who actually realized that's what they were.

Glen Mason is objectionable to some but you don't see a thread bemoaning every time he's announced as an announcer. That is the difference. Stop talking about it and you can hate her all you want but I've already seen this thread and a bunch of crap on twitter that is a level way beyond what any of her male peers ever receive as criticism.Yes it is objectionable, maybe not to you, but to many many listeners. And it has nothing to do with her being a woman, despite what you social justice warriors think.
Do you also have a black friend? Irrelevant.Funny, my wife can't stand listening to her either.
