Who's blowing kisses now Niang?

It's still a painful memory, but look up the #3 seed in the Atlanta Regional of the 2006 NCAA tournament. The schools you listed above are not the only schools in NCAA history to lose first round games.
I think that's refering to losing in the first round as a 2 seed AND ALSO as a 3 seed (in different years, obviously).

Sorry guys, I hate Iowa State fans but I loved this Iowa State team (except for Niang, who is a complete d-bag).

Hoiberg handled the loss with class and dignity

Too bad his players didn't.

You obviously live and work where there are few Cyclone Fans.

My office is infested with them. I heard comments like "Iowa should not have even got a bid", etc. This loss is about as sweet as it gets.

Made my day.
Hell, it made my year.

Agree. Their fans are awful, just awful. I actually do work with quite a few of them.

I guess I feel bad for Hoiberg. Really a class act, in my opinion

Niang was a total jerk in Iowa City. Karma is a b___ch

According to the cyclone fans I work with he was just clowning around and wasn't really being a poor sport that night. Hey George's...eat a giant co ck u piece of Sh it...And then pass it over to nazy....haha. That's why u are the Cyclones.

Then to top off a fabulous start to the day, it sounds like several of ISUs players walked off without shaking UAB players' hands.

Keep up the class "mayor". We knew that the whole "Transfer U" thing was going to come back to bite you at some point. Looks like those chickens have now come home to roost. A program built on a foundation of sand was bound to collapse at some point!

I don't think one game constitutes a collapse nor does a brief lack of class from a few players. Upsets like this happen to great coaches and great teams in this tournament all the time, but if true about walking off without shaking hands, that a bad reflection on the coach. Nothing to get too blown up about though.

Come on. Live it up a little. Their fans have been jackasses all year and their players acted like jackasses in Iowa city. Unless you are one of the many trolls here

in college basketball, one game can constitute a collapse. Especially when you are a 3 seed going up against a 14 seed in a one and done tournament. it rarely happens and this loss will be remembered years from now.

I want to agree with you on Hoiberg. I really do. Because in public he does come across with an air of class.

But for a coach to allow his players to be such arrogant jerks on and off the court with no apparent discipline, for a coach to (apparently) develop a secret arrangement with the Ames police department to turn players with legal troubles over to coaches instead of processing them in the criminal justice system, strikes me as the opposite of class.

He's an operator, a manipulator. He brings in players who have left or been kicked off other teams, gets them to play well, win a lot of games. Hey, that looks really great for him and for the university.

But I really suspect there's a dark side to his program and to his ethics, frankly. Just my opinion. Sooner or later it will be exposed.

It happens nearly every year. I can't honestly recall a year without upsets of 2 or 3 seeded teams that didn't collapse and were coached by wildly successful coaches. You are certainly on point though by saying it will be remembered. These upsets are remembered a long time.

the arrogance of that team contributed to the inevitable collapse. What a shock, no cyfans around. It's not a surprise. They like to run their mouths but when they lose they run away like the girls that they are. In a few days mj will come around with his usual lies of he's been out of town and he knew they were a question mark going into the tournament. No different than when some d-bag troll is here talking stupid he's not around to see it. When a Hawk fan gets banned for mild comments he's not around but when it comes to defending a cyfan he's right there. take the collective iq of cyfans and you would have to pay someone to get rid of it.

Q: What's the fastest way to clear out a room of cryclown bb fans?
A: Invite the UAB bb team into the room
