Who will offer Kirk more money . . . USC or Miami?

One radio wag down here in Orlando said, "Miami has never, historically, paid top-dollar for their coaches. Their players? Definitely!"

I'm assuming you mean Miami Dolphins over Miami Hurricanes? I think "the U" would be the last place I'd ever see Ferentz coaching...outside of maybe USC.

He always talks about his family in the Los Angeles area so I would guess the Rams would hire him then they build their new stadium.

If I were a betting man, it's more likely the Terminator Trolls in the Maniac Conference of the MLF giving him a call............

Not gonna happen. Bary Garta drafting a ten year extension as we speak.

I already read the terms of the new deal. If they fire Kirk early, he gets Barta's wife and first born, his own space station, and they rename Kinnick to "Ferentz field at Kirk Stadium"

My money is on an NFL team

Miami?? When have they paid top dollar for anyone. **** UCF opening is a better gig than Miami.

When KF signed his extension in 2009 IMO that made Iowa his last stop. KF is retiring at Iowa but if he were younger there is one program I could see him leaving for and that's Penn State.

Ah, KF not going to USC, Miami U or any NFL team as long as he holds a my way or the highway mentality. Maybe as an assistant.

The question was who will offer him more not if he would go. USC would offer more. However he won't go.

Answer is neither
O $ cuz no offers
Cuz he no go to Cal or FL or WI or Penn
Two or three more years prolly
Or 20 and done
IMHO
Stability and Security at IA

What, do you think KF will do? Go to one of these schools to sell tickets..then come back to Iowa? It'll be to head coach..duh. First, KF will have to work with all the athletes and personalities of the proposed institutions which he has a history of not doing. Second, KF is old fashioned. Many of his coaching techniques are outdated and ineffective. Third, if any of these institutions ask KF to head coach there, IMO, they probably need a new Athletic Director/GM as well because the AD/GM would be the one hiring KF. Will they take Barta as a package deal? Fourth, that would expedite the process of Iowa getting a new head coach...(/AD?).

Watch ol Kirk throw us a curve.... After his birth in the playoffs this year he....announces his retirement and walks away with all the former haters crying in their pudding.

I really think we need to use more reverse psychology instead of some of these types of threads. For instance, you may know of a guy who's sniffing around your girlfriend. You kinda gotta discourage him from his interests of your girlfriend.

Don't say, "Not only is she a looker, but her cooking is outta this world." Instead, say something like: "Wait till you see her with makeup and girdle off. It's horrifying!"

We want to keep KF as long as we can, don't we?

If anybody by the name of Ferentz starts to pop up on coaching lists, it won't be Kirk but I wouldn't be surprised if Brian's name may start to surface in the near future. Maybe not even for head spots but I'm sure he could get an opportunity as an Offensive coordinator.

Hopefully if Brian is going to be a success, he can stay with the course and be patient knowing the opportunity to lead his alma mater may present itself one day.

Funny how winning changes everything.....This time last year we(fans) couldn't wait to get kf out of here and BF was the benefactor of a bad case of nepotism.

Regardless of how this season turns out, Kirk will now retire at Iowa, and on his terms, and all the whiners and trolls calling for his head can kiss his behind. He'll go out on his terms, just like Bo Schembechler. Iowa really does have a chance now to be the dominant team in the West Division. And I'm eating three day old crow because I predicted 6-6 this season.
