Who will offer Kirk more money . . . USC or Miami?

Any chance he leaves for Iowa State? Great, young skill guys at WR and RB, combined with his OL prowess, would make an unstoppable offense to go along with that Steel Curtain that is Wally's defense.

I just have a feeling that, at his age, the work it takes to go undefeated has taken its toll and he may want to go back to winning 7 games per year. He could extend his career, make some bank, be treated like a god, and get a statue of himself outside of Half Price Stadium for his mediocrity, just like Johnny Orr got for his.

Yep, I think KF will retire at Iowa. If this season finishes even remotely like the way it started, and Iowa wins 10+ games and gets a nice bowl game on top of that, and there's no real reason to think it won't - then the hot seat will have gotten ice cold. He isn't getting fired.

About 10-12 years ago, I could have seen KF considering an NFL gig. Today, I'm kind of thinking that ship may have sailed since I get the feeling KF may be closer to retirement than anything else. I really have a hard time seeing him taking another college job, regardless of what it is. But, what do I know?

I am assuming he retires in 2020. What does he do after that? He will be in his mid 60's there are only so many fishing trips you can take the grandkids on. Consultant/advisor role on a NFL team in regards to O-line play?
