Where would you rank Iowa

They are 17 in the coaches poll right now.. I would probably put them at around 15 ahead of Stanford. That USC win doesn't look as good for them. It is still early and I have no problem with them being ranked where they are ranked
 
Iowa is #17 in the Coaches Poll today, and the AP poll should be out shortly.

I think that's about right considering the close wins against Pitt, Wisconsin and Illinois. Iowa isn't going to blow out many opponents...especially teams that are similar. Each game will be likely be close right to the end.
 
Given that all of the other undefeated Power 5 Teams are ahead of Iowa @ 17...I'd put them higher than what they are currently ranked. :)
 
I was counting my chickens before they hatched a couple of days ago at work and figured they would end up around #19-20 if they won against Illinois. I'll take #17 in a heartbeat, all things considered.
 
if Iowa beats NW to go to 7-0, the internet is going to go nuts with speculation on whether Iowa can run the table.

Of course thats a big if. I think Iowa will lose at NW and at Indy. Finish 10-2, 6-2 in conference and lose the division champion tie breaker to NW. Then go to Holiday bowl and lose, finish 10-3.

If Iowa were to achieve a double-digit win season I would be quite impressed. It has only happened 4 times in Kirk's tenure and takes quite a bit to accomplish.
 
17th sounds about right to me for Iowa.

I would have Michigan St 13th

I would have Michigan 15th

i would keep Ohio St 1st.......although I don't think they are a clear number 1.

I think Northwestern is about right at #20. Wisconsin and Penn St getting votes.
 
They should be 13th / 15th. Win @ NW handily and they should be top ten, jumping Michigan. Getting late in the season, and that 1L needs to be paid for.

Never thought that the Hawks would be here right now. Wisconsin was the start of a three-game skid in my preseason predictions, coupled with a loss to ISU.

He's toned it down a bit but I spotted ol' Nicholas about a month ago. Old school avatar and he showed up about a week after the ban.

Playa is still playin. Gotta give him props though, he's the only one that predicted 6-0.
 
I think a rank between 15-20 is fair. This is a must win next week to get the voters impressed with Iowa. If they win they are a potentially a top 10 team, lose and they will toil in the lower portion of the polls the rest of the season.
