I don't know why some of you think Lickliter is gone? I have said it multiple times but Barta has already backed Lick up repeatedly. He is 110% behind him and looking forward to the future of Iowa basketball with him at coach. Lick will be our coach next season and will do just enough in Barta's mind (15-17 wins) to validate another season. I don't like it nor agree with it but Barta has a plan and he seems very confident with it. It may bite him in the @$$ but the man at least is truthful.

I believe the decision was made before the team left for Indy.

I suspect that whatever happens, it will not be affected by this weekend in Indy. I would say it is probably 80% that lick is back..but an ultimatum will be privately issued...but I know nothing...so never mind.

I'm not sold on Lickliter either, I just always thought the Excuse Master was Alford - or at least that's what Iowa fans labeled him.

While I agree with this, a coach needs to know that you can't throw red meat out to a pack of hungry dogs and expect them to ignore it. Lick has ****** off a lot of people and the way he makes excuses after every game just fuels that fire even more.
