Where does Lick end up

Lick-ball wouldn't work at Princeton, which relies on down cuts and up blocks to free the cutter for an easy layup or short jump shot. Much of the offense runs through the center. For the basketball purist, it's a thing of beauty.

For me, I'd rather just watch choppy black and white clips from the 50's...at least in the 50's they didn't know any better.

Maybe we don't care, but where do you think Lick ends up?

He goes to Hollywood and plays the Dennis Hopper character in a sequel to "Hoosiers." When Coach Norman Dale dies of a heart attack celebrating the state title, Shooter guides the team through an unsettled new season.

Everyone deserves a second chance to come in first.

Unfortunately the movie is a commercial flop when theaters complain that audiences keep falling asleep.

I know but he was already coaching in the big time conference before he came to Creighton. The other poster said he backed out of his opportunity to coach in the big leagues. Which he did back out of the Arkansas gig but he was already in the big leagues 16 years ago when he left KSU to go to the minors.

I was just talking about the Arkansas gig. Not sure why the Kansas State issue is even being discussed. He had moved on a long time ago from that job.

Maybe I should have said he had his chance to go back to a major conference, accepted and then looked in the mirror...

Seems like just a matter of semantics to me.

Altman also backed away from jobs at Illinois and Georgia that would have been his if he'd been willing to pull the trigger. It's hard to imagine now what a hot commodity he was at one time.

As for Lick, I wish him well--and wherever he goes, I hope he takes the high road.
