Sanders number should be retired and put up on the stadium. He is the best player I ever saw play at Iowa since 1962, when I saw my first game

I never saw Merton play college. He was great in the pro's though. But I did see Bob Sanders play. And he changed the whole character of the defense when he was on the field. Iowa went from a good defense to a defense the offense feared.
