What happened to Lazard? Is he still waiting to get drafted?

Really makes you wonder about lanning. Had he just given up the QB fantasy and went to Iowa or nebraska as a linebacker how high up would he have been drafted? 5 years training at LB instead of 1 year...he could have been a beast.

Oh well at least he wont regret that decision for the rest of his life....

Wait, are hawk fans really bashing a WR who for the most part dominated us over the past 4 years and who would have started for us every down simply because ISU fans said he was a stud (which he is)? Didn't us Hawk fans proclaim that Wadley was (and is) a mega stud, and likely the top RB we've had in the past 20 years? He didn't get drafted either. Neither did Brad Banks from what I can recall. Whether you get drafted or not is no indication on the impact you had at your school.

"Dominated" us? please....

What comes around goes around. Maybe if he didn't run his Clown mouth, we wouldn't be throwing pooh at him. I'm a fan of Lanning's. That kid's got heart. Not too bright but he's got heart.

Maybe he's seen as too slow for a WR, too small for a TE. We'll see, maybe he'll make it. We certainly feel that way about Akrum. Who knows, maybe his tweet from last fall made some GMS/owners goosey about bringing in a guy who they see as making waves, despite his walking back his statement. They want no controversy.

While you're here, maybe you can answer a question for me. What kind of Clown undergraduate degree did you get before you attended law school at Iowa? Animal husbandry? "Your pig knocked up my chicken. I demand recompense!" Is there a big demand for ag specific lawyers? Inquiring minds want to know.

Strawman after strawman after strawman. Let's break it down.

Wait, are hawk fans really bashing a WR who for the most part dominated us over the past 4 years and who would have started for us every down simply because ISU fans said he was a stud (which he is)?

MVB vs ISU: 19 rec, 284 yds, 3 TDs in 3 games, recorded no stats in 2014. Avg of 14.9 ypc, 94.6 ypg, 1 TD per game. 3-1 vs ISU.
Lazard vs Iowa: 18 rec, 258, 2 TDs in 4 games. 14.3 ypc, 64.5 ypg, 0.5 TD per game (both last season). 1-3 vs Iowa.

Hardly "domination". Is he good? Undisputably so, but was still less productive in the series than a two-star afterthought from South Dakota who was four inches shorter and 30 pounds lighter.

]Didn't us Hawk fans proclaim that Wadley was (and is) a mega stud, and likely the top RB we've had in the past 20 years? He didn't get drafted either.

Says who? I'd argue the guy who owns most Iowa single season rushing records and a Doak Walker award, or the only Heisman winner in school history whose name is literally on the stadium would have something to say about that.

And while Wadley is damn good, there is legitimate concerns from a physical standpoint regarding his pro potential. Size and measureable speed are two of them, neither of which is a real concern with Lazard. Still didn't get his name called.

Maybe it's because he plays in a gimmicky offense in a conference known for its lack of defense and has had fewer pro prospects in recent years. Maybe there's concerns about his character, considering he is the embodiment of the Clown mindset (which I can attest to from personal experience). Thing is, I don't care, considering he's not a Hawk, so go crow about him on CyFan if you're that fond of him.

I've been a Jaguars fan since their expansion year (1995). I'm happy to see they signed him as a free agent. I think he'll succeed there as long as Bortles continues to improve.

I'm guessing one of the biggest reasons he wasn't drafted is shown in the replay below

He's a one and done practice squadder.

Book it and set a reminder to prove me wrong next summer.
