I've really never seen anything like that before. When our coaches go through that tape...they are going to see guys wide open and our QB can't even get close to them...or he throws to the wrong guy. On the first interception...he throws to the boundary, when Fant is coming across the field with no one around him...his all-American tight end is wide open.
He couldn't throw a 7 yard pass between two linebackers without skipping it. I could throw that pass with two broken fingers...I swear I could. There were so many guys open and he was nowhere near close.
I know guys have bad days...but he's been struggling with accuracy all year and bonehead plays. I feel for him...that was embarrassing. I'm not sure what you do if you are Brian Ferentz. I think you have to bench him. Or start him against Purdue, and if he does this routine...he's on the pine in the second quarter.
I know another poster said this too...but when he threw that "grounding" ball to start the game...I said to myself...oh no...we have bad Stanley today. That however, was taking it to a whole new level.
