What does "Shock" feel like...I think I'm in it.

Your right! Seeing wide open receivers and over throwing them has to be one of the most over pressured decisions a QB will ever make! Damn you BF !

Seriously. Why do you think some qbs do so well under some coaches and terrible when they leave an nfl team for another.

Stanely issue hitting his target was a mental thing, and when the gameplan seems on track stanely make those throws. The question is, whether hes thinking too much because hes mentally weak or the gameplan was a cluster bomb. Its catch 22, he either didnt have his qb ready or they chose the wrong guy.

But still, Manzell isnt going to come up with any miracles. Ruddock looked bad at times at iowa, but he still went on to throw for 3000 yards at michigan.

How long you been an Iowa fan?

What I haven't seen is a QB consistently miss the easy throws...usually the ones we miss are the next level throws...the ones that CJ Beathard could make. All Stanley had to do was make the easy throws all day long. He's getting protection...he just needed to keep the chains moving with easy throws. We win.

Now that I've had the day to process that game...I hate to jump on Stanley when he's down. He's a good kid, works hard, wants to win, and takes responsibility. He knows he cost his team that game yesterday. He feels worse than any of us could ever make him feel by posting a bunch of nasty stuff.

That being said, he's at a crossroads in my opinion with the starting QB job. You can't have a QB back there that is missing easy throws...and not getting the ball to the guy that's open. This is a business...and if the guy pulling the trigger is costing you the game...you have to make a change. I think he gets a quarter or two at Purdue and if it looks like it did yesterday...it's Mansell time...and you see how he performs for a few series. If he can handle the stage, let him run with it.

Stanley's mechanics have been so inconsistent that he needs to take a step back and get himself right. I don't think you can do that in the middle of a season. The big thing is that none of us know how Mansell is performing in practice...but I'm going to go on record as saying he looks like a gamer...and I don't think he misses a TE open by 25 yards...he may have made him wait for it...but at least we get the touchdown.

Ferentz is the Anti-Fry when it comes to Getting intot he heads of his QBs.

Ferentz must scare the crap out of them. But there are no consequences for bad play. So I dont know if that is truly the problem.

We always see our QBs regress. Why?

Yeah I'm dumb. Mansell fucked that play up at the end of the 2nd and gave PSU good field position. So dumb.

Legitimate question here. I know in the television screen...Hockenson looked wide open...but was the safety out of view and moving over, and that's why Mansell pulled it back and ran. He looked open...but you can't tell if the safety wasn't fooled from the television angle.
