There are a lot of rebuttals to this post. For one, demanding the best or you're a loser is way over the top. Maybe you're a 5'5" fat, unathletic high school kid who loves basketball. Is he a loser if he doesn't demand of himself that he make the NBA?
There are so many different levels of skill and only a handful can be at the top. That's why it's the top. There are 100 schools that are striving for the top 10 but only 10% of them will make it. You just have to have realistic expectations in life.
As a fan, I want the coaches and players to have those goals (which they do). But as a fan, there is also no way I'm going to demand that those unrealistic expectations be met "or else". Your post that I originally quoted said there is no reason we can't be MSU. Well you're right in the sense that it's possible. But it came off more like you think it should happen, when in reality, the odds are extremely unlikely that it will. Firing good coach after good coach in desperate attempt at becoming a top 10 program has a lot more likely hood of getting you to the 100th best program than it does getting you into the top 10.
That is why they get into coaching 'to inspire young men'. You got a lot farther than most players. I'm glad you got all those good memories. You know, as a high school freshman I was told by my freshman coach that I would never amount to anything. I was 5'8" and weighed about 110 pounds. I got to play in exactly two of the games that year. But I never gave up, never quit trying to better myself. At the end of my sophomore basketball season I was 6'5" and about 150 pounds. I could affect a lot of things on the basketball court. When I ended my high school career I was 6'7" and about 175 pounds, and actually went on to play for the great Buzz Levick at Wartburg (well, didn't play much but was on the team for 4 years). I look back at my freshman coach and he never did much more than that.
Naysayers abound in today's world. I put little stock into them. Illegitimi non carborundum!
I think that Happ has the potential to be the Player of The Year. There are some changes as of today. Trimble and Thompson are officially NBA bound. Morrow is transferring. Happ's and Bridges' draft stock are on the rise so I added them. Sanders (RUT) is entering the draft but not hiring an agent...think he will return.

Happ has to learn to hit a decent % of FTs. Otherwise, he's going to be fouled A LOT- Hack-a-HappI think that Happ has the potential to be the Player of The Year.
I love how Iowa is sitting. Minnesota, Sparty and NW will both be very tough next season
