What are your expectations for Adam Woodbury next year?

I agree with DuffMan and others that woody will not be a major shot blocker. Look at him and he doesn't have the arm length of a typical 7 footer. He doesn't have the reach of a Hansen, Earl, or even Lohaus. And the video I have seen he doesn't dunk much which concerns me. But he has developed a sweet hook shot which can be unstoppable if he keeps it up.

I just think if zach mccabe is one of our main post people, we are in trouble. He's a defensive liability. He's playing that low out of necessity. He's a 3. I'd like to see him lose ten pounds in the offseason. I extremely doubt he's even close to 6' 7". I think more like 6' 4"with short arms. I'd like to see him lose ten and become a solid 3. He's a good shooter but he has no business on the low block.

Too many posts in thread didn't read all of them. I'd say if Woodbury is not the difference between making or not making the NCAA tournament, then red shirt him. Add strength, weight and maturity and next three years should be very good.

This time line you've suggested makes no sense.

You can't redshirt someone after they have played, unless you are talking about next year.

How would anyone know if one single player was the difference between making the tourney or not?

How would anyone know anything about the tourney before selections actually happen?
