We're pretty much at the half way point, and we have some idea of what each team looks like. I think its clear that the west is a 3 man race now between Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. However, I believe Nebraska is the favorite to win it, based on their remaining schedule, and the way they have been playing. Their lowest points scored this year was 31 against McNesse State.
NEB: mich st, N.western, Rut, Purdue, Wis, Minn, Iowa
Wisconsin: N.western, Illi, Mary, Rut, Purdue, Neb, Iowa
Iowa: ind, Mary, N.Western, Minn, Illi, Wis, Neb
Based on their schedule, it looks like Bo is gonna finally avoid the 4 loss season.
These teams cannot afford to lose 2 games before the final couple weeks of the season. So I think Nebraska loses to Mich st, to give then one loss, Wisconsin vs Maryland is a toss up, and I picked Iowa to lose to Maryland to give them 1 loss. Lets say Maryland beats Wisconsin, I then think Nebraska beats them as well. Theres a 2 loss Wisconsin, against a hopefully 1 loss (in the B1G) iowa with a 1 loss Nebraska team waiting the week after for iowa.
If iowa loses to Wisconsin, I assume the heros game is still for the west division title, right? Theres always upsets, but that's what I see playing out. Iowa still has a long way to go.
