west favorites

We're pretty much at the half way point, and we have some idea of what each team looks like. I think its clear that the west is a 3 man race now between Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. However, I believe Nebraska is the favorite to win it, based on their remaining schedule, and the way they have been playing. Their lowest points scored this year was 31 against McNesse State.

NEB: mich st, N.western, Rut, Purdue, Wis, Minn, Iowa

Wisconsin: N.western, Illi, Mary, Rut, Purdue, Neb, Iowa

Iowa: ind, Mary, N.Western, Minn, Illi, Wis, Neb

Based on their schedule, it looks like Bo is gonna finally avoid the 4 loss season.

These teams cannot afford to lose 2 games before the final couple weeks of the season. So I think Nebraska loses to Mich st, to give then one loss, Wisconsin vs Maryland is a toss up, and I picked Iowa to lose to Maryland to give them 1 loss. Lets say Maryland beats Wisconsin, I then think Nebraska beats them as well. Theres a 2 loss Wisconsin, against a hopefully 1 loss (in the B1G) iowa with a 1 loss Nebraska team waiting the week after for iowa.

If iowa loses to Wisconsin, I assume the heros game is still for the west division title, right? Theres always upsets, but that's what I see playing out. Iowa still has a long way to go.

Am I correct when I say that if everyone has one loss, Nebraska beats Wisconsin, Wisconsin beats Iowa, would the winner of the heros game win the west? As in, if iowa beats Nebraska, is iowa going to indy, or is Wisconsin?

Cant have west division rivals like Minny winning games against the east division especially on the road.

In a few weeks we will know who needs to win or lose besides Iowa which needs to right now just win their next game

I would love to see it but I don't see Wiscy losing to Maryland in Madison ... especially coming off a bye week.

I see the Huskers losing to MSU, but beating the Badgers....so they go to Black Friday at 10-1 (6-1). Wisky will have the loss to Neb, but beat Iowa...Iowa beats the Huskers...all tied up...who goes

Sweet lord do I hope MSU beats Nebraska. If they don't I have to listen to these big red idiots whine about how disrespected they are all season long.

I guess I don't get the love for Nebraksa. They've played an easier schedule than us, which is saying a lot. Iowa has the 76th and Nebraska 90th hardest schedule so far. They haven't beat anybody other than Miami. Pitt was higher rated than Miami when we played them.

According to Sagarin, Wiscy would be an 8 pt favorite over Debbie at home. I think Wiscy is the favorite.

all true. But nebby has looked a little sexier on the field and then theres Abdullah. I hope he keeps getting 30 rushes a game. That's a lot of collisions by black monday.

30 carries a game is fine when your playing the likes of McNeese State, Florida Atlantic and Illinois but that's about to change when they play MSU.

Nebby should not have needed AliBabba to run 30x against McDSt, FAU , or ILL. A hit is a hit and that's 10 per game he didn't need. Iowa learned that about Weismann vs lesser opponents. I'm sure hoping history repeats for Nebby. Keep the 30+ touches coming Bo!

if I understood correctly, Neb has 2 conference losses and Iowa has 1 loss, and wiscy has 1 loss.

then wiscy wins the division since it beat Iowa.

Allibaba seems pretty durable though. Has he been injured before in college?
Seems fairly durable. So did Connors. That many hits adds up (of course) and he may not be injured but banged up if the load continues? ...we have seen that before.

Maryland is Wisconsin's only test until Nebraska. I think the terps can beat wisky, and I think neb beats them as well. Wisky at 2 losses, beats iowa to give them their 2nd conf. Loss, iowa beats Nebraska to give them their second loss...who goes? In that scenario does Wisconsin win the west? Or iowa can just run the table and leave no doubt!

I hope both Iowa and Nebraska are 7-0 in conference play when we meet and Nebraska thinks they're gonna just walk into the playoff. Then, I hope we beat them 56-10 or something absurd. Then, I hope Kurt commissions a series of troll signs on the Iowa side of the border in a perpetual trust so every time someone leaves Nebraska they realize it was Iowa that kept them out of the inaugural playoff.

Alternatively, I would also love to see Northwestern beat Nebraska and for Northwestern to cease to give Iowa problems and shift the jinx onto the Huskers.

Minnesota (#3) should be listed with Wisconsin (#1) and Nebraska (#2). Based on performance thus far, Iowa is (#4 or 5).
