I'm only 50% sure that I know what you mean.

$70 was a lot of money for the ticket. However, I was 15 rows up and just between the free throw line and the top of the key. Really close to the action, and it was pretty darn exciting! Even though my Carver/H-I ticket is dead center court and 25 rows up, I was a lot closer to the action at WF. The quickness, the physical play, the hand checks, the violence underneath the basket, the speed of the ball when it was passed, were fascinating. I could clearly see the expressions on the faces of the coaches and the players. And, I got to watch Ed H. screw up royally a couple of times!
I made a mini vacation out of the trip. 6 hours to Des Moines from home; 2 nights at the Quality Inn right next to the arena. Attended the Hawkeye Huddle; had two of the best fresh seafood meals in recent memory. Listened on the radio to the Packers beat the Bears on the way home. And, though I will be judged a complete idiot from what I've read above, I stayed and watched the entire Drake/ISU game and really enjoyed it. I love college basketball...some of the very best athletes around.
Will go back next year, God willing and the creek don't rise.
Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but I don't believe you can have "Fresh Seafood" in Des Moines. You're over a thousand miles from the ocean, how fresh could it be?
That being said I'm happy you had a nice weekend and wish I could have been there.
It's so cute. DSM is like Kansas City's little brother trying to fit into its comically over-sized clothes.
Also, stop naming every "professional" sports team in DSM Iowa this or Iowa that. You're not Iowa.
There is no such thing as a "loser Drake" fan.

Why would I worry about DSM? I live in the Quads. D-Port is like Florence to DSM's Kentucky.

Yeah iveblives in the quads too and ill take DSM way before the quads studster
Really fresh. Go to the website for the Waterfront Seafood Market in West Des Moines and read up on the place; I think the word "fresh" applies. I have no dog in the fight...I just found them on the internet and went there to eat. Thanks for the "nice weekend" thought!
Obviously Ghost has never seen this t-shirt. Where's the quads cities' "greatest city in the world t-shirt"!?!? Oh, there's not one? That's what I thought. BOOM, roasted!
Two questions:
One, WTF am I reading.
Two, y u hate me now?
Yeeeaaaah buddy! Suck on that ghost. Suck it long and hard. We're number one. V I c t o r y you can't have it nah nah nah nah nah
Agree, typical administrators with their heads up their aaarses, lets gouge Iowans, $70 for lower seats, give me a break, check out how the big ten teams are doing buying tickets to their football bowl games, nobody is buying, even whisky and nebby are struggling trying to find people to overspend.
