Are you serious? Go look at his posts, I don't see anything where he says he is a drug dealer or anything saying that he doesn't make the connection between law-breaking and negative consequences. The "JRHawks5969" guy is slandering their names assuming so many things about people he doesn't even know outside of what people have written about them or what they have done on the football field.

You'll have to pardon alex, he likes to jump to wild-a** conclusions based on one piece of information. For example, I argued that Notre Dame, while largely irrelevant ON the field over the last 20 years, they are still VERY relevant in the recruiting game because of their prestige and tradition. I was subsequently labeled a Domer, simply because I argued the rather obvious. I also think that Hubbard, as well as other ex-cons, deserve unlimited chances in life (which he based on a few posts during the speculation about how strict the conditions of Hubbard's scholarship were).

I think what happened here is JR made the initial comment he probably thought was kind of a joke regarding jail time and took flak for it. He then tried to defend the issue and it escalated into this monster. I think it's a good idea just to let this settle and die a slow death.

I agree that there is a problem in society with young african americans in relation to crime. This has to do with the fact that many of them come from single mother homes and grow up in poor neighborhoods with higher crime rates. They don't grow up with the parenting that most of us two parent white middle class individuals have.

However, JR shouldn't have stereotyped Hampton and speculate that he will commit crimes because the odds are higher for black males.

JR, we all have probably posted something we shouldn't have that became worse as it grew. My advice to you would be to put the ego in check and move on from this argument. It's a messageboard anyway. Nobody cares or knows who you are.

Those guys gone probably works to Cokers benefit considering he's the starter now with no competition to take carries away from him.

However, I will miss that 3 headed monster of Wegher, Robinson, and Hampton. They are brought different things to the table and were very effective in what they did. Wegher had the speed and could catch, Robinson always reminded my of a Emmit Smith type runner, and Hampton was very shifty and a hard runner.

It's a shame they all are gone but my hopes are this makes Coker even better as it's his show now on the ground.

I suppose Kyle McCann was in a league above Brad Banks, and Ricky Stanzi wasn't was good as Jake Christensen.

Regardless of the fact that it's logical, it is not a FACT that Hampton was dismissed. It's the general assumption of the public, but there is no proof to support that assumption. Therefore it is impossible to declare it as a fact.

I thought you said it was a fact. Facts can usually be supported by evidence.

If you're talking in regards to just running ability than maybe so (Wegher probably being a bit faster), but Wegher was a way better receiving threat.

He's talking just overall RB ability. Speed, vision, power, breaking tackle ability, shiftiness, catching, pass blocking.

Bottom line is if you had to take a RB that fits within an Iowa Football team you'd take Coker without question.

I'd take Coker over Wegher in any type of offense too. Even a NW type spread. Coker has NFL potential. Wegher does not.

I'd give Wegher the nod in these categories. Butttt, I would take Coker if I had the choice. It's just that you act like Wegher had absolutely no talent when that's not the case. I feel like he could have played at the next level (most likely CFL). Whether he could have made it to the NFL or not we'll never know. Maybe it could've been a possibility had he switched to a safety position. I just don't get why you have it out for him so bad. Was one of the 3 ladies he knocked up your gf or something?

Edit: And to be clear- I am not saying that he knocked up 3 chics.
