Weather Saturday

To someone following this weather situation...what are my chances?

I'm doing something for the first game this year that i've never done....tailgate on the golf course. Tee time is set for 9 at a course in IC. I'm screwed?.. or will it be early enough. Plz don't rain...golf will pass the time for the 2.30 start.

It's not going to rain Saturday morning/early afternoon in Chicago.
The storm is slowing down and is expected to move more east than north.

Those of you thinking about staying home, think again.
With the exception of the game at Indiana, this will be the last time all year you can watch the Hawks for $38 a ticket.

wut?

Tickets to this game are $38 at ticketmaster if you buy 4 or more.
They're actually like $28, but after the ticketmaster fees, it comes to $38 each.

Ahh, those seats. Yeah, no thanks, I'd watch it on TV before I spent two double-sawbucks on such garbage seats.

Have you been to soldier field before?
If you are within the first 10 rows of the 400 level, they're not bad seats at all.
The upper deck is fairly steep.

Also, there are going to be over 10,000 empty seats. The ticket you have in your hands doesn't mean you have to sit in those seats. Just use the ticket to get inside Soldier.
Obviously you can't get in the Club seats as they check tickets, but you'll be able to sit anywhere else as they don't check tickets.

I have not been inside Soldiers's field bince way before the renovation. I have heard no good things about the "new" version, however.
Anyways, I already have a ducat and there is a possibility that I will fall bass-ackwards into a totally choice seat on le 50.

Soldier field

Totally.
Anybody posting here who grew up near Chicago, or has lived there, will know that I'm signifying a LOT of meathead South Siders who always put an "s" on the end of Soldier.
Blue-collar guys from Back of The Yards always add the s. Trust me.

Those of you familiar with the area around Soldier, where is the closest grocery store?
Our hotel is at the Renaissance Blackstone - 636 South Michigan Avenue.

Looks like there is something near roosevelt and wabash.

Yeah, there is both a Trader Joes and a Jewel right there.

Hey Churl, ever had a reuben @ Manny's? I'm guessing it's enormous, based on the price.
I'm going to be right there at lunch time, so I'm thinking a quality deli sammich will be perfect.
Advise (further).

Huge. F%&*ing. Sandwiches.

I don't eat Ruebens, but I'm sure it's the same as their regular Corned Beef, size wise.
