Iowa needed a big man in the worse way , the kid played for Iowa heck I think he was Mr. Basketball of Iowa which is another subject for another day. Fran still didn't offer him enough said about Licks recruiting.

Couldn't agree more. Lickliter and his staff recruited kids that for the most part only held offers from schools of this caliber. The fact that so many Iowa fans actually thought this guy would / should come back is pretty scary. Nice kid, wish him the best, not a big ten talent.

Hopefully this can end the Cougill talk on here....forever. The kid was offered a scholarship to play basketball at what probably was his dream school. He took it, which pretty much all of us would if we had the same oppurtunity.

He screwed up in the classroom and had to go elsewhere to get his grades back in order. Now the staff doesnt think he fits in with where they are trying to go and decided not to invite him back.

Im sure Cougill knows he messed his oppurtunity up and there is nobody to blame but himself but I dont see the point of piling on the kid over and over. He is not going to be a Hawkeye and we will probably never see him play a minute of basketball again. Let it go.

Former lick recruits seem to usually end up at a lower level when they transfer..Payne,Cougill,Tucker,Davis....Fuller is the exception.
Brommer and Archie are needed for size,but are challenged.
Marble is a legacy.
May and McCabe are Iowa kids who were Hawk fans.
What a miserable recruiting record built by Lick at Iowa.
