the only people who are applying the term "moral victories" to iowa are the people who immediately get on the boards after close losses to say that there's no such thing as moral victories. get over yourself.
iowa has only won eight games this year, moral or otherwise. some of us are happy that they are no longer getting run out of the gym every night, appear to have some legitimate big ten players, and are showing signs of life that didn't exist in december. some of us either don't care, don't think it matters anyway, or choose to ignore it. the term moral victory has nothing to do with anything. why is this so difficult to understand?

I have been one who has been opposed to the "moral victory" flags being waved on this board from jump. So, do not peg me out.

No doubt. And it was also a NW team that HAD to win to keep their NCAA Tourney at-large chances going. So they should have been hungry.
It was great seeing Iowa come out and dominate.
No doubt about it...NW fans were calling this the biggest game in NW bb program history and they got shelled by the Hawks...sweettt!
Now, on their boards they are calling it the most disapointing loss in any sport since the Cats blew a Big Ten title losing to lowly Iowa in 2000 at Kinnick...love it.!

Question, if the Hawks aren't hot from the arc tonight how different is this game from any other? What was better other than 3pt. shooting? I am still trying to figure out how this team can win consistently.

1. Of course they shot better
2. Played better defense...
3. Rebounded better...
4. Moved the ball better...
5. Overall execution was better...
That's how....what they need to do is show better consistency...make it "how they do things", not how they CAN do things. Hopefully that happens...sooner rather than later.

Iowa won because of their D.
Their D, and a whole lotta 3's, and some nice work in the paint at times (Cole and Fuller).

It scares me when a team is too reliant on their 3 point shooting. Have a cold night, and you lose.
