A few observations:

1. Nebraska's lineman don't look athletic or fit to me. They look out of shape. Their D tires in the 4th quarter. I've seen it over and over again this season. Iowa can beat them if we play 4 quarters. The Iowa kids bring great energy for the entire game.

2. Their offense is needlessly complex. It's no wonder that Martinez struggles to execute.

3. Frost looks overwhelmed on the sideline. The pressure to win at Nebraska in unbearable. Contrast it with Brohm, who was a pretty loose coach for Purdue last Saturday.

The Iowa Nebraska game this year is huge. Nebraska may be playing Iowa for bowl eligibility if they defeat Maryland.

With tweets like this a real question coming up is how many guys finish the season for Frost. Once talk like this happens it can become a cancer and then the dominoes start to fall or injuries start to linger and guys aren’t good to go. Frost really has a problem that firing a couple coordinators won’t fix

Their offense puts up more than enough points, albeit with help from their uptempo system. That same system taxes the bejeezus out of their defense and leads to confusion with illegal formations and penalties of that ilk.

I don't think 75th in ppg is anything to write home about.
Side note, we are 85th. We need to get better!

Would not be surprised if both Mo Washington and Robinson were gone after this year. Probably their two most talented players. They also lose their entire DL to graduation after this year so will be plugging holes in the trenches again.

yeah and their depth on defense other than db, where they have actually recruited well, is incredibly bad. Linebacker position is a dumpster fire and their dline depth is zero. any defections would crush them.

Look, I remember Nebraska in the 80-90s' too. I got a kick out of a press conference where Frost was still trying to say that Nebraska was a Blue Blood program. They are oblivious to the fact that Minnesota still has more national titles then them, I don't hear anyone from Minnesota talking about being a Blue Blood. Nebraska is done, I don't care if Saban, or Saint Tom Osborne himself started coaching again. The landscape has changed, Nebraska is in a low population center....they are done.

The big sales pitch is where Frost has been, at Oregon and UCF and what happened there. That is recent history. And then it is oh by the way I played at Nebraska and we can win here again like back when I played. He had stuff to sell for sure, but the expiration date is close and mold is taking over.

High school kids aren’t smart. They see the “greatness” that Nebraska once was, and Frost is an idol of that. They get sucked into the idea that they can be great too, and while they might not have as good a chance of playing time at the real blue bloods, they can at Nebraska. They’re young and impressionable, and if they don’t have people around them with their heads screwed on straight they might fall into that trap.

They buy into the "Used Carsalesman" shitick salespitch and don't see the whole story of the entire program.

Remember Ron Zook and Mike Locksley. Then there is P.J. Fleck, oh wait,...............never mind!

Locksley allegedly had an in with a bunch of the coaches around DC and they got him guys. Not sure how, but he could recruit.

Frost can't recruit and his scattershot approach this year might yield a numerically decent class, but it is unlikely to produce any sort of coherent systematic football.

Frost's coaching expertise is finesse which has been demonstrated time and again to suck in the B1G.

I predict next season NU starts off 6-1 or 7-0 and the whole "We're back baby" "Never had a doubt" starts ....and then they go 0-5 to finish the year.

The way Nebby is playing, I'm not so sure they even mentally show up against us. After they lose to Wiscy if they somehow find a way to lose to Maryland they'd of lost 5 straight and would be playing us for a 5th win. While their fan base who is still convinced it's the '90s may show up I'm not sure their team would have any fight left in them.
