vuvuzelas for Ohio St game...

I drunkenly bought one of those on Melrose about 20 years ago. I didn't have it long before I was seriously annoyed with my investment.

NO these are the ONLY thing that might force me to forgo Hawkeye games if they became a fixture...i HATE them.

This is probably a better clip of what that crap was all about. Ugh.

Isn't there already something in NCAA rules that disallows the use of anything that magnifies the voice? I thought that those types of things weren't allowed...or at least had to be held to a size standard or something. Regardless it would be a horrible mistake to use those things.

I am not a violent man...but if they do any combination of "Iowa Football" and "Vuvuzelas", I will watch video, track down seat numbers, purchaser names, home towns and addresses of ANYONE blowing on one of those things and personally spend the rest of the year, driving town to town, drag Hawk fans out of their homes and into the street and beat them senseless...

And I will guarantee you this, I am positive that there are more than a few of you who could kick the ever lovin' crap out of me, so if I'm willing to get my a$$ kicked over this, it CAN'T be a good idea!

So please, for the love of...well, ME...never bring this up again!

It's a good idea to do that...if you want to get Iowa penalized 15 yards on a fairly routine basis. I believe that all noisemakers are banned at collegiate football games - yes, including vuvuzelas.

The vuvazela is the cultural icon of 2010. It is the Macarena, the Pet Rock, the Chia Pet, the Wave, the Piano Key Tie, The
Head Band, the Bangle the ...

My interaction with the first vuvuzela at Kinnick would go something like this..

-Hey, is that a vuvuzela?

Yeah!

-How much did it cost?

about $10

-Cool, can I see it? (I break it in half over my thigh)

-Here's $10 (hand the guy $10)

I imagine the scene at Kinnick would look something like the scene out of Airplane, where there is a line to smack the sense into the person who brought this horrible thing upon us.

Looks like the good folks in charge of Kinnick Stadium already have it covered: (Thankfully)

Uhhh...like I've never brought any of those items into Kinnick.....not.

Could you imagine the opposing team trying to call a play with the entire stadium playing vuvuzelas? It would be impossible
