Did this rule get rid of the guy that played the trumpet in the north end zone or did he just move on?
Yeah, that's the first thing I thought of too.

I am not a violent man...but if they do any combination of "Iowa Football" and "Vuvuzelas", I will watch video, track down seat numbers, purchaser names, home towns and addresses of ANYONE blowing on one of those things and personally spend the rest of the year, driving town to town, drag Hawk fans out of their homes and into the street and beat them senseless...
And I will guarantee you this, I am positive that there are more than a few of you who could kick the ever lovin' crap out of me, so if I'm willing to get my a$$ kicked over this, it CAN'T be a good idea!
So please, for the love of...well, ME...never bring this up again!
Well.... Since you put it that way, I guess I won't play my vuvuzela app on my iPhone then either....

I did just download that...one of my buddies claims he LOVES the Vuvuzela's (He's a big soccer fan said they provide great atmosphere...) I sat around his house all night last night playing it...he got ticked...then he's like what is that? I told him and he was like wow those are really annoying!

Nope, I know the guy and he has a "routine" that he goes through for every home game. Plus I have asked him about it and said that he is pretty sure the guys at the gate know who he is and let it go, not that he is just walking through the gate with a trumpet but he said it wouldn't be too hard to figure out if they didn't know about it.

I think they will continue to let it go as long as others don't do simular.
I like that single horn, it adds to the tradition of the game at kinnick.
Agree. A few years ago some over zealous Per Mar security guards tried to get him to stop and the entire North endzone almost started a riot. They realized that it would be better to just let it go.
I would have rioted. I've sat in section 136 in the North Endzone for 7 years now, and the trumpet guy has definately become part of Kinnick Stadium tradition.
As for the Vuvuzelas.....I would murder in cold blood anyone attempting to bring those damned annoying things into Kinnick Stadium.
I think this idea has merit. I mean imagine what it would be like if ZZZZZZZZZ
