Villanova game thread

He's also the hardest working, mentally toughest player with the highest bball IQ on the team. Thank God he came in with that cuz MuckCaff ain't gonna teach him much.

That is what made White so successful, his motor. Guy never quite on the ball or stopped moving.

Umm.. is;nt that true about any team??

Yes, but I'm mainly talking about the outside shots. We don't have the players that can pound it inside and get to the rim when their shots aren't falling. And then when they do... they miss a layup!

So the last 2 minutes of this game has seen the uthoff that was one of the best offensive players in the country at the beginning and mid of this season and a guy who had this team clickin. What the heck happened to this the last month or so and in this tournament? Goodness gracious, about 30 minutes late bud. Man.

Starting to agree with those that say we got exposed.....Blueprint was put out there in February and Iowa didn't or couldn't counter and this is where we are at.

Good news for Iowa City is that Gesell and Clemmons will still be around for PTL and tear up the league.

If anything, the kid will probably regress.

Nah, he's too tough for that. He'll always scrap and get his, despite the poor game / player management of this staff.

That's not to say it won't be an enormous challenge, what, with the inherent obstacles created by FrannieMuck's robotic, platoon substitutions, disjointed rotation combos, lack of game-flow awareness, a near 100% perimeter oriented strategy that completely disregards the importance of an inside-out game and general inability to teach any skills to players (particularly the 4 and 5 and any other player who likes to scrap and bang).

Time for some perspective. It's actually pretty amazing Iowa had the season they did starting 2 guards and a center that can't shoot. Gessel and Clemmons' wide open threes don't even rattle around the rim. Not sure why the coaches didn't completely reconstruct Gessel'Gessel's shot when he came here. He pushes the ball like a junior high kid trying to shoot to far from the rim.

The Maryland game showed how to beat Iowa. And it was an easy, easy, thing to implement. Rough em up. Fran can't make adjustments, so that's where we are.
