Going off of Lunardi and Palm's brackets today (3/14), here are how the perceived bubble teams are doing in conference tournament play. Teams that have already lost can't improve their resume before Sunday:
Providence - Beat Seton Hall. Plays Creighton
St Josephs - Beat Dayton on Friday in what basically was a "Winner dances/loser NIT's" game between the two. Beat St Bonaventure on Saturday. Plays VCU on Sunday.
NC State - Beat Syracuse. Lost to Duke
Tennessee - Beat South Carolina, lost to Florida.
Xavier - Lost to Creighton
Minnesota - Lost to Wisconsin
Southern Miss - Lost to LA Tech
Dayton - Lost to St Josephs
Nebraska - Lost to Ohio State
Missouri - Lost to Florida
St Johns - Already lost
SMU - Already lost
Arkansas - Already lost
BYU - Already lost
Cal - Already lost
Florida State - Lost to Virginia
Green Bay - Already lost
Keep in mind that according to both Lunardi and Palm, Iowa is ahead of most of these teams listed above as far as the bubble, and going off of their brackets, around 6-8 of the teams listed above will get into the tournament as an at-large. The bubble is not very strong this year and it should be mostly clarified after Friday.
As bad as their loss was against Northwestern, Iowa actually had a really good day Friday as far as their status in the tournament. Iowa is basically a lock at this point, whether they deserve to be or not
