I think we would have a good shot of getting in if it was down to UK, Ole Miss.
If ISU and Nebby can squeeze into the RPI top 50 and 100, it would make a huge difference. that would Give us more RPI 100 wins than both Ole Miss and Kentucky.

It would be helpful if these teams lose early in their conference tournaments to horrible opponents...a guy can dream.

Actually, you are the one with the flawed logic. If Iowa did not win their second round game in the BTT, they would squeak in with probably the lowest RPI of any non-championship squad. That would put them at probably 11 or lower as a seed and definitely ship them off somewhere.

Which means that they would be playing a six or lower seed. That means they would be a Top 25 team, which is in the ballpark of where Iowa's second round match-up in the BTT will be ranked.
